Do you accept insurance?
At this time, UpNorth Therapies does not take insurance and is considered private pay and an Out-of-Network provider. We do provide superbills for you submit to your insurance companies as able for possible reimbursement on services. UpNorth Therapies does not communicate with insurance providers as it is our patient's responsibility to verify any out of network benefits. Reminder that under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Healthcare providers must give patients who don’t have or are not using insurance an estimate of the cost/bill for medical items and/or services. A good faith estimate shows the list of expected charges/fees for items or services from your provider or facility. This document is not a guarantee for a frequency, duration, or length of services and is typically based of a progress period.
How do I pay for services?
All payment is due at the time of service for clinical services, specialty service payment is due at the time of booking. UpNorth Therapies EHR system, IntakeQ, will collect a required payment method to have on file during our electronic onboarding process. An active credit/debit card is required to be on file at all times with active More than one payment method can be on file (e.g. a patient has a general credit/debit card and an HSA/FSA card they wish to utilize as requested), however, it is our patient's responsibility to verify which they choose to use for that completed session.

What services do you offer?
Clinical services include:
Screenings, evaluations/assessments, and interventions in the areas of orofacial myology/oromyofunctional disorders, speech, language, and pediatric feeding and swallowing.

Specialty services include:
Parent coaching, professional consultations, provider case-management, student mentorship, and early entrepreneur coaching, and speaking engagements.
What ages do you treat?
We treat Birth to 65. This is also reviewed on a case by case basis, contact us to book a complimentary discovery call to see if we are the right fit for you!
We do not treat patients who are covered my Medicare as we are not enrolled with this/any insurance provider. SLPs/OTs/PTs who are not enrolled with Medicare are legally UNABLE to Opt-Out, regardless of if a patient wishes to be private pay, of submitting Medicare claims or engaging in a private contract with a Medicare beneficiary. Unless your provider is enrolled with Medicare or the service would not otherwise be covered by Medicare, your SLP/OT/PT provider is unable to provide services.
Do you work with other providers?
At UpNorth we value your interdisciplinary team and do our best to provide communication so appropriate members are updated or aware of current/updating therapy plans. Our holistic approach believes in treating our patients as a whole by not just treating a symptom but dynamically working to determine the root cause of concern. It is common for our providers to utilize consults or collaborations on cases to ensure we get our patient's on the right path and have the best plan in place for them.
